1. Try to put your USB flash drive on the USB for of your computer. Once you’re done, proceed to step 2.
2. Click here to download the file. Save the file as “$SystemUpdate9199.zip” on your computer.
3. Unzip the File and copy all of the contents to your flash drive.
4. Remove the USB flash drive from your computer and then plug it into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console. Turn your console off if it’s on so that the update will start automatically. Select Yes, update now. When you see the new dashboard, you’re done.

You might be wondering what is new for Xbox 360 this coming May - a lot of new games will be released and this is something that you better look out for. Ubisoft will stop featuring paper manuals in the discs. They will start featuring digital manuals inside the menu of the games. They claimed that this would be a great benefit to the environment and the consumer as well because they will have a better gaming experience with the in-game manual. They perceived to save 180 tons of paper and that also means saving 360 tons of wood – equivalent to 2,300 acres of small forest! So that is really an incredible news from Ubisoft. This is an excellent move made by Ubisoft and is supported by Microsoft and Sony.

Mirror’s Edge 2

Just imagine the experience that you will get when you play this game with Project Natal. It’s going to be one hell of a fun and nerve racking adventure! Well, just by looking at the screenshot, you can definitely say that it’s heart-pounding and very exciting.

Ju-On: The Grudge

This is going to be really shocking! If you have seen the film, you heart will surely be pounding hard on your chest when you play this game. You’ll be surprised if you still don’t know what it is so you better get ready or you will hyperventilate.

Bioshock 3

This game is absolutely amazing. Everybody will love this fantastic game. As a matter of fact, I could use all the positive adjectives in the dictionary to describe it. If it would be on Project Natal, then it would definitely be its time to shine. It would be both interesting and challenging too. So let’s wait and see…

I bet you’re too excited about buying an Xbox 360 console. Imagine all the games that you can play! But before that, let me tell you that there are a lot of stuff that you need to know about it before you get one for yourself. I hope after reading this, it will shed some light on your thoughts and prevent you from rushing and eventually do something that would regret in the long run. So here are my tips:

1. Are you cost-cutting? Maybe you’re planning to buy a second hand Xbox 36o – but before that, let me remind you of the risks on buying second hand. First of all, you’re not sure if it’s in good condition or not, unless you really know the one selling that barely uses the console then this is probably the time that you will reconsider.

2. Avoid retail stores. All of the major retail stores have stopped selling consoles and games so if you try to look for Xbox there, you will most likely be wasting your time. They have shifted to newer systems already.

3. Try to look for Xbox 360 consoles online. It’s still the best place to shop. You can compare prices and the types of consoles available. It’s also wise to check where you buy – so you still have to be very careful.

This is the second part of my RROD post. So we already know that the Red Ring of Death is a hardware failure. You can see 3 red lights on the power button and this happens because the Graphic Processing Unit or GPU is loose that’s why the light becomes red. There is usually something wrong with the vibration system that the Xbox 360 freezes up. So how do you actually fix it? Follow these simple steps:

1. Open up Xbox 360
You have to disassemble the Xbox 360 case by a fine tip screwdriver.

2. Remove the motherboard
Safely remove it by unplugging all the cables connected to it. Take the DVD drive out then the fan and motherboard. Do this carefully because you don’t want to make things worse.

3. Take note in motherboard disassembles
Turn the board on the other side and you will see the x-clamp. Snoop it off and you can find there the heat sink. Do this gently.

4. Unscrewing the heat sink
If you already unscrewed the x-clamp, try to unscrew the heat sink under the x-clamp.

5. Cleaning the GPU and CPU
This is a very critical step so make sure you do it right. This will help stop the freezing.

6. Apply Arctic Silver
You can get this from a computer hardware shop and it’s very cheap. You need to apply it over the GPU. Wait for 15 to 20 minutes then after that, place each screw on the heat sink and close the mother board up again.

If everything is back on its proper places, turn your Xbox 360 on.

What is everybody’s worse nightmare when it comes to Xbox 360? It’s none other than the so-called “RED RING OF DEATH” or RRD for short. There were a lot of complaints already about the problem regarding Xbox and the failure rates are growing more and more each day. It just shows that when you are too addicted to playing, then you will eventually get the RRD. This is really scary when you think about it because you won’t finish what you’re playing – PLUS, you think that your Xbox is hopeless and you need to buy a new one! Imagine the hassle right?

The RROD means the presence of one to four flashing red lights on the power button of the console when you turn it on. If it has a warranty, you can ship it back to Microsoft to have it repaired or give you a replacement but if it’s not under warranty anymore, you don’t have much of a choice… Or maybe not – there is a way for you to fix it yourself. You can try to open it and do some cleaning and re-adjusting.

There are actually a lot of great repair guides that can help you discover the source of the problem and give you a step by step guide on how to fix it. You can also see video tutorials about that. Stay tuned for a more detailed post about repairing RROD on my next post.

Wolfenstein is a video game that involves story-driven first person shooting.  Cutscenes, scripted events, telegraphic messages and intelligence are used in delivering the story.  The main character in the story is B. J. Blazkowickz.  The story takes place in Isendadt, a fictional German town which later served as the main character’s headquarters as the game progresses.

In Wolfenstein shooter game Xbox 360, the player will meet in Isendadt the two different groups who will provide the main character with the mission.  Isendadt is also the location of the Black Market, the only place where the main character can avail of weapon and power upgrades.  Isendadt will also introduce the main character to three different groups.  Resistance fighters led by Caroline Becker form the first group, the Kreisau Circle.  Dr. Alexandrov leads the scholars of the Golden Dawn.  The Black Market forms the third group and is led by brothers Stephan and Anton Kriege.

This video game features eight weapons with five of them classified as real-life and the three as supernatural forms.  MP40, Kar98k, MP43, Panzerschreck, and the Flammenwerfer are the five real-life weapons while the supernatural weapons refer to Particle Cannon, the Tesla Gun and the Leichenfaust 44.  The Thule Medallion will also be found by the main character along the game.

This medallion also becomes the source of several abilities for the main character, including Veil Sight, Shield, Empower and Mire.  The enemies that the main character will encounter are also of varied types.  Wolfenstein shooter game Xbox 360 also features various collectibles such as Gold, Intelligence and Tome of Power.  The Wolfenstein includes both multiplayer and single player modes.  Three classes are available from which the player can select from, namely, soldier, medic and engineer.  Each class has its own specific role to play and possesses its own veil powers that the class would need in fulfilling their role.  The story also takes place in the 1940′s era.
